Here we go!
Starting 2021 with the Candida Cleanse. My plan is to complete 6 months of this cleanse, putting my progress on here helps keep me on track. Here is what I learned from the last round I did:
You will be very "han-gry" (yes, it is a word!) for the first month. The candida will be mad you are not feeding it.
You will be hungry ALL THE TIME! Because you are not eating meals with fillers, the food will turn into energy quickly. Make sure there are plenty of candida friendly snacks available. In my menus I have a list of snacks at the bottom.
Try and go outside once a day, fresh air and the sun help in so many ways.
Up your fat. The more fat you use in your meals the less cravings you have. (side note: fat DOES NOT make you fat!)
Be careful of hidden sugars: ketchup, BBQ Sauce, canned soups, etc.
Low fat, no fat is also a problem. When you take out the fat it is replaced with sugar.
Add cinnamon to everything (well, anything that taste good with cinnamon)! Cinnamon helps fight candida. Here is the breakdown of my checklist I'm using for the candida cleanse. You can see how I use this list on my menu of the week. I will also be sharing plenty of recipes.
